April Nishimura, co-executive director of TREC, will lead our conversation as we reflect on the impact, dangers, and practical applications of AI.

Artificial intelligence is rapidly shaping how organizations operate—but for small, grassroots conservation groups, the opportunities come with real risks. This webinar will offer a clear, accessible introduction to AI, focusing on both its practical uses and the ethical, security, and organizational challenges it presents.

Through presentation and guided discussion, participants will begin drafting a tailored AI use policy for their organization, grounded in a shared set of 10 principles for responsible and effective AI use.
