About Lauren Wallace
Lauren Wallace (she/her) is our Grants and Donor Communications Director. She comes from beautiful eastern Kentucky and is a lifelong lover of the outdoors. She has a background in music and communications. Lauren has held various administrative and creative roles throughout her career, most recently with Colorado Parks and Wildlife. Lauren's drive to achieve meaningful work and the value of equity in action drew her to Conservation Lands Foundation, and she now spends most of her days writing about America's public lands and the people who protect them - a dream job!
When not at work, Lauren can be found hiking with friends, traveling with her partner Josh, and reading mysteries with her two cats (who always guess the twist at the end).
“All lands are ancestral lands. I live and work in Durango, Colorado, the unceded ancestral lands of the Diné Bikéyah, Núu-agha-tʉvʉ-pʉ̱ (Ute) and Pueblos peoples. I hope this land acknowledgment inspires others to stand in solidarity with Native nations.”
