About Carla Fox

Carla Fox (she/her) is the Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at Public Lands. In this role, she is responsible for bringing to life Public Lands’ purpose to celebrate and protect public lands for all through brand activities, philanthropic commitments, and marketing channels. Carla drives Public Lands’ sustainability and social impact strategies in the areas of planet, product and practice. She also manages The Public Lands Fund, a program of the DICK’s Sporting Goods Foundation that provides grants to organizations at the intersection of public lands conservation and creating a more inclusive and accessible outdoors. Through the Public Lands Fund, Carla creates holistic partnerships with grantees through giving strategy, community-based activations, and storytelling.

Prior to joining Public Lands in 2021, Carla spent over 5 years at 1% for the Planet where she led engagement, growth and account management for the 4000+ business membership network. As part of her role as Director of Membership she was also responsible for driving nonprofit advising strategy, designing and coordinating the annual Global Summit, and supporting the nonprofit network.

Carla lives in Upstate NY on Mohican and Mohawk land with her husband and daughter where she adds to their birding life list, spends time outside in the Adirondacks, and (sometimes) heads out for a round of golf.
