About Western Slope Conservation Center

The Western Slope Conservation Center is based in Paonia, CO and works to build an aware and active community to protect and enhance the lands, air, water, and wildlife of the North Fork of the Gunnison and the Lower Gunnison Watersheds. Founded in 1977, this organization takes a community-directed, solution-focused approach to watershed stewardship and public lands advocacy. This Conservation Center also works to promote, steward and advocate for the National Conservation Lands in their area, which include Dominguez-Escalante and Gunnison Gorge national conservation areas.
