Lauren Wallace (she/her) is CLF's Associate Grants and Donor Communications Director. She has an educational background in music and communications, and has worked in various administrative and creative roles throughout her career. Her most recent position was with Colorado Parks and Wildlife, where she provided project support and database management, wrote and published conservation articles, and served as co-leader of an EDI discussion group as well as a story-writing committee. Lauren's drive to build meaningful connections, belief in the healing benefits of being outside, and passion for equitable access drew her to CLF. She is enthusiastic to be part of the Durango team!

Lauren is originally from eastern Kentucky and is a lifelong lover of the outdoors. Her first "mountain-life" experience was as a 2013 summer seasonal in Yellowstone National Park. Two years later she had the chance to move out west permanently, and she has been in Durango since. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with friends and road trips with her partner, playing piano, sampling local cinnamon rolls, rearranging her house plants, and filling her online shopping carts with comfy cozy sweatshirts she never actually buys.
