Time to Care
Take quick, meaningful action and send a message in opposition to the administration’s devastating budget cuts to public lands.
The White House has proposed the most devastating cuts to public lands funding in history.
The Bureau of Land Management—which oversees 245 million acres of America's public lands including our treasured National Conservation Lands—faces unprecedented funding cuts that would cripple the agency.
The proposed cuts are staggering:
- A nearly 75% cut to National Conservation Lands funding—the lowest in the system's 25-year history
- A $460 million cut to BLM’s Lands and Resources program (39% reduction)
- A 22% reduction in BLM staff
Meanwhile, the same budget proposes funding increases to oil, gas, and mining management, sending a clear message that this administration views our irreplaceable public lands as nothing more than a corporate profit center.
These drastic budget cuts would mean closed trails and visitor centers, damaged wildlife habitats, and reduced public access.
Take action: Email your members of Congress and call on them to reject this misguided proposal and provide the robust funding the Bureau of Land Management and the National Conservation Lands deserve
