About Shi-Lynn Campbell
Shi-Lynn Campbell (he/him) is our Grassroots Engagement Associate Director. Originally from New Jersey, Shi is a long-time Las Vegas, Nevada resident. His background includes work in education, marketing, and communications. He has served the Friends Grassroots Network as a volunteer, communications manager, and vice-president board member. During his time as a part-time field ranger, he became inspired by how his representation inspired folks to connect with nature. For the past several years, Shi has worked to spread the message of equity, inclusion, and social justice through the Melanin Base Camp/Diversify Outdoors social media channels and blogs as an advisor and freelance writer. He joins the Conservation Lands Foundation team with a deep respect for public lands and the many hands working to preserve and protect them.
In his free time, Shi-Lynn enjoys hiking, nature photography, thrifting, and being a softball dad to his teenage daughter. When he isn’t being active, you will find him at home retro gaming or watching VHS movies on his CRT TV.
“Helping those among us with the least power is the only way we can move forward as a community. When we learn as much as we teach, we grow equally and together.”
