2024 Priorities
This year will be pivotal for continuing on the momentum we built in 2023. A few examples of our priorities are to:
- Continue to add protections to millions of acres of BLM-managed lands, focusing on seven priority landscapes including:
- Dolores River in Colorado
- Chuckwalla in California
- Owyhee Canyonlands in Oregon
- Great Bend of the Gila in Arizona
- Molok Luyuk in California
- Kw'tsán in California
- Hold our 2024 Friends Summit in Salt Lake City to support, train, and build capacity for over 70 of our Friends Grassroots Network partners.
- Grant another $2M to our Friends groups across the American West.
- Continue to press on the administration to deliver on its goal to protect 30% of land by 2030.
