Today we’re celebrating the John Dingell Jr., Conservation Act. Signed into law last month, it’s the most significant conservation legislation in years, protecting over a million acres of National Conservation Lands and permanently reauthorizing the Land and Water Conservation Fund.
It was the result of years of on the ground efforts by community-based and volunteer-powered groups, including many of the groups in our Friends Grassroots Network. Thank you to these groups, and people like you who support them directly and through CLF, for all you’ve collectively done to protect our public lands, rivers and trails.
