Celebrate NCL25 With Friends of Big Morongo

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the National Conservation Lands, the Friends of Big Morongo will conduct two hikes starting simultaneously on Sunday, March 23, at 8:00 am:

  1. The challenging hike of the day will start at the Canyon Trail from Big Morongo Canyon Preserve to Desert Hot Springs and return.  This hike will be 9 miles, and half of that distance is uphill in the sandy wash. This hike is for strong hikers! Wear comfortable clothes and shoes, bring plenty of water, and  Your hike leader will be Andrea Jensen.
  2. The family friendly hike will begin at The Preserve’s parking lot and will traverse the Mesquite Trail to the West Canyon Trail and return.  This hike will be 3 miles roundtrip and is easy/moderate.
