About Me

Suzanne Connors (pronoun: she) is CLF’s Senior Development Director. Suzanne has spent the past twenty years strengthing nonprofits through philanthropy as both an in-house development officer as well as a consultant and entrepreneurial business owner. She has a passion for the power of education and for the environment. 

Suzanne started her career as a fellow at El Pomar Foundation’s two-year Leadership and Nonprofit Management program. Suzanne obtained her bachelor’s degree from Washington & Lee University and her MBA from the University of Colorado, Denver. In 2019, Suzanne returned to school for her Certificate in Social Impact Strategy through the University of Pennsylvania. 

Born in Wyoming, raised in California and schooled in Virginia, Suzanne has found her home and love of community in Colorado. She fervently enjoys living in Durango with her husband, two children, and their pound puppies. Suzanne loves to rove in her van, mountain bike, trail run, ski, camp, read good books, speak Spanish, float down rivers, Stand Up Paddleboard, drink wine (good or not) and eat guacamole.
